Heading home to port after three days of spectacular fishing for walleyes, northern pike and smallmouth bass. Jeff, Bill, Barrett, John, John, Jim, Dave, Doug, and Bill have fished with us for several years running. The organization has been with us for 34 years.
Fishing was fabulous. walleyes were found in current, in bays on points where the wind was lapping the shore. I don’t like to use numbers but we went through 90 dozen chub minnows in 3 days. reasonable numbers would be a couple hundred a day between the five guide boats. Our guides our good and one thing to remember we have the customers catch the fish not the guides.
Walleye shore lunch is the order of the day.

Meals and housekeeping are done by chef Bernie Lessard. Bernie is funny, kind, accommodating and has a real love for Rainy Lake. You can tell by the guests smiles below that his food is good.
Jeff has been on this outing for sixteen years. He is retiring this fall. Good luck, we will miss you!

Great ending to a great trip. Last two hours of the trip. $85 dollars still up for grab for biggest northern of the trip. On the last cast John hooked this 43″ northern on a buzz bait with 6 lbs. test line. What a beauty what and ending.
